Standard Applicability:This standard specifies the product classification and labeling, requirements and test methods, inspection rules, as well as marking, packaging, transportation and storage of high-activity polyisobutylene. This standard applies to high activity polyisobutylene produced by continuous polymerization reaction with isobutylene as monomer. High-activity polyisobutylene is mainly used in the production of lubricating oil ashless dispersant, gasoline detergent, emulsion explosives emulsifier. Highly active polyisobutylene is usually a low molecular weight polyisobutylene with an index average molecular weight of 500 to 5000 and an alpha olefin mass fraction higher than 75%.
