Standard Applicability:This standard applies to purity greater than 98.00% (mass fraction), propane, propylene, isobutane, n-butane, anti-2-butene, 1-butene, cis-2-butene, propargyne, 1,3-butadiene, n-pentane, isopentane, and other hydrocarbon impurity content of not less than 0.0010% (mass fraction) of the determination of industrial isobutylene. Since this standard cannot determine all possible impurities such as oxygenated compounds, isobutylene dimers, water, etc., other test methods need to be applied to fully characterize isobutylene samples.
