Standard Applicability:This standard specifies the determination of the purity of petroleum m-xylene and its hydrocarbon impurity content by gas chromatography. This standard applies to the determination of the purity of not less than 99.0% (mass fraction) of petroleum m-xylene, non-aromatic hydrocarbons, benzene, toluene, ethylbenzene, p-xylene, o-xylene, n-propylbenzene and isopropylbenzene and other hydrocarbon impurities in the detection range of (0.001 ~ 1.000) % (mass fraction).
