Standard Applicability:This part applies to any wireless communication device capable of emitting an electromagnetic field (EMF) that is worn on a limb during use in the manner described by the manufacturer and whose transmitting portion is no greater than 200 mm from the body. This part applies to radio frequency exposures in the operating frequency range of 30 MHz to 6 GHz, and may also be used to measure simultaneous exposures from multiple radio transmitting sources of limb-worn devices. This part does not apply to the evaluation of exposures from medical implantable devices that emit or do not emit.
