Standard Applicability:This part applies to equipment installed on fixed-wing propeller aircraft, fixed-wing turbine, turbofan and paddle-fan jet aircraft and helicopters. At present, civil aircraft on-board telecommunication equipment is mainly installed in the aircraft’s electronic cabin equipment racks or cabin baggage racks for use, and its use scenarios generally do not encounter the effects of environmental factors such as water (including icing and frost), fluid contamination, sand and dust, mold contamination, salt spray, and so on, so this part does not address the requirements of these environmental conditions and their related test methods. If it is necessary to consider, the relevant requirements of HB 6167 standard can be referred to. This part does not apply to the environmental conditions that may be encountered by civil aircraft on-board telecommunication equipment caused by fire, explosion, ionic radiation and other accidental contingencies, which are to be considered as special cases; nor does it apply to the storage and transportation process of civil aircraft on-board telecommunication equipment.
