Standard Applicability:This standard specifies requirements for dental polymer-based restorative materials. These materials are provided in a form suitable for activation by mechanical mixing, manual blending, or the use of applied energy inside/outside the mouth, etc., and are primarily used for direct or indirect restoration of dental cavities and bonding of cavities. Polymer-based adhesive materials covered by this Standard are materials used for the adhesion or retention of restorations and prosthetic devices such as inlays, high inlays, veneers, crowns and bridges. This Standard does not cover polymer-based cementitious materials with an adhesive component in the material structure. This standard does not cover dental materials used for caries prevention (see YY 0622-2008) or veneering materials used on metal substrates (see YY 0710).
