This standard applies to the basic safety and basic performance-specific requirements for myoelectric and evoked response equipment. NOTE: EMG feedback devices, where capture of muscle contractions is based on electromyography, fall within the scope of this standard. This standard does not apply to equipment intended for transcutaneous electrical nerve stimulation and electrical muscle stimulation.
