Standard Applicability:This standard applies to the basic safety and essential performance of equipment with wavelengths in the range of 200 nm to 3000 nm, one or more sources of non-laser light radiation expected to produce non-visual photobiological effects in humans or animals for therapeutic, diagnostic, monitoring and orthopedic/medical cosmetic or animal applications. This standard does not apply to tanning, ophthalmic instruments or infant phototherapy equipment.
