Standard Applicability:This standard applies to intensifiers equipped with image-reducing X-ray image intensifier tubes with nominal fields of incidence of 15cm (6in), 23cm (9in), 30cm (12in), 33cm (13in), and 40cm (16in), including single-field and multiple-field. These products are mainly used in conjunction with medical diagnostic X-ray equipment to achieve image conversion. This standard specifies the medical diagnostic X-ray image intensifier requirements, test methods, inspection rules, signs, instructions, packaging, transportation and storage. This standard does not apply to flatbed type or other types of enhancers.
