Standard Applicability:This standard specifies the method of determining the bending strength and stiffness of straight type splints, including terminology and definitions, instrumentation, test procedures, calculation of results and test reports. This standard applies to straight type bone plate, also applies to have a certain angle of the bone plate of the straight plate part and in order to have a small initial bending of the bone in the installation of the preload generated by the bone of the bone of the bone plate. This standard does not apply to plates with hole spacing of less than 8 mm, nor does it apply to plates designed for use with or as part of intramedullary devices.
