Standard Applicability:This document specifies two types of test methods for the measurement of bond strength (tensile and shear), a test method for the measurement of the marginal gap around a filling, a test method for microleakage, and a number of specific test methods for the measurement of bond strength. This document is applicable to guide the selection, storage and handling of (adhesive) substrates and gives various test methods for testing the quality of the bond between oral restorative materials and tooth structure (i.e. enamel and dentin). This document does not apply to requirements for bonding materials and their properties.
