Standard Applicability:This part of YY/T0681 covers the measurement of sealing strength of soft barrier materials. This test may be performed on a seal between a soft material and a rigid material. Seal specimens conforming to this test method may be from any source, either formed in a laboratory or from a commodity. This test method measures the separation force required to seal a specimen and also identifies the type of specimen damage. NOTE: Appendix C and Appendix D give information on the precision and bias, respectively, of the test methods specified in this standard, and their determination.
