Standard Applicability:This part of YY/T 0855 applies to non-woven and woven materials used in surgical sheets and other patient protective coverings with nominal resistance to lasers for repeated use and repetitive use. This part provides a standardized test and classification method for surgical sheets and other patient protective coverings against laser-induced hazards, and gives a corresponding classification system. This part does not include general fire safety codes. Similarly, neither other sources of ignition nor secondary ignition of coverings by lasers are covered. All materials reflect a portion of the beam, and the user must decide whether specular reflection is likely to be a hazard, but this is not covered in this part.
