Standard Applicability:This standard applies to turning pins, polishing pins, sharpening tools and surgical instruments for dental rotary instruments. This standard specifies the characteristic codes for turning pins, polishing pins, sharpening tools and surgical instruments which refer to the type of tooth shape of the working part of the instrument. These three digits appear in digits 10 to 12 of the 15-digit coding system and form the fourth set of three digits within the total 15-digit code. The coding principles are described in YY/T 0873.1-2013 and YY/T 0873.2-2014.
