Standard Applicability:This standard applies to four-pole connector systems for implantable cardiac pacemaker devices with pacing, cardiac sensing and/or defibrillation functions. This standard specifies the basic dimensional and performance requirements for four-pole connector systems for implantable cardiac pacemaker devices and the test methods to which they are adapted. This standard does not apply to systems capable of outputting higher voltages than 1000V and/or 50A, nor does it apply to systems with sensors or special electrodes that do not support conventional pacing, (cardiac) electrogram sensing and/or defibrillation functions.
