Standard Applicability:This standard applies to working-level dosimeters, reference-level dosimeters normally used for calibrating working-level dosimeters, and scanning-level dosimeters equipped with an automatic water model for measuring relative dose distributions. This standard specifies the performance requirements for dosimeters used in radiation therapy. This standard does not apply to self-provided dose monitoring systems for radiation therapy equipment and well ionization chambers and their stability checking devices for calibrating brachytherapy sources.
