Standard Applicability:This part of YY/T 0987 specifies a test method for the magnetically induced displacement force of a medical device due to a static gradient magnetic field and a comparison of the magnetically induced displacement force with the weight of the device. This part does not address other possible safety issues including, but not limited to, magnetotorque, radiofrequency heating and thermogenesis, noise, interactions between devices, and the function of devices and magnetic resonance systems. This part applies to instruments that can be suspended by wire. It does not apply to instruments that cannot be suspended by wire. The weight of the wire used to suspend the instrument during the test shall be less than 1% of the weight of the test instrument. The tests in this part shall be performed in a system in which the direction of the magnetically induced displacement force is horizontal.
