Standard Applicability:This document specifies the classification and type, requirements, marking, instructions for use, packaging, transportation and storage of endoscopic cleaning workstations (hereinafter referred to as endoscopic workstations), and describes the corresponding test methods. This document applies to endoscopy workstations mainly used in medical institutions for manual cleaning of soft or hard endoscopes, and can be sterilized using chemical disinfectants. This document does not apply to products that clean and disinfect medical devices other than soft and rigid endoscopes.
