Standard Applicability:This standard specifies requirements for interface dimensions, basic performance requirements, compressive strength, microbiological requirements, marking and information provided by the manufacturer for medical oxygen humidifiers. This standard applies to medical oxygen inhalers (e.g., buoy oxygen inhalers, wall oxygen inhalers used in central oxygen systems) and medical oxygen humidifiers used on single-person medical oxygen concentrators (oxygen concentrators), including single-use humidifiers and non-single-use humidifiers. This standard does not apply to medical respiratory humidifiers intended to humidify respiratory gases.
