This torque transmitter is used as an auxiliary instrument attached to a dental handpiece for the placement of oral implants during oral implantology and for further manipulation of its connecting components in the craniofacial region. This standard applies to torque transmitters for placing or removing implants in the patient’s mouth that are connected to a power-driven system with torque control, and this standard does not cover dental implants or components connected to dental implants. This standard does not apply to the power drive system itself.
