Standard Applicability:This standard specifies a test method for determining the durability and deformation of ultrahigh molecular weight polyethylene (UHMWPE) tibial liner components in a two-compartment or three-compartment knee prosthesis design under specified laboratory conditions. This standard applies to liner components made of UHMWPE. This standard does not apply to the testing of two single-compartment knee systems as a two-compartment system.
