Standard Applicability:This standard specifies the requirements for the determination of HFC-23, HFC-32, HFC-125, HFC-143a, CFC-12, HCFC-22, HFC-134a, HFC-152a, HCFC-124, HCFC-1,2,2,2-tetrafluoroethane and HCFC-152a in gaseous refrigerants. 1,1-difluoroethane (HFC-152a), 1-chloro-1,2,2,2-tetrafluoroethane (HCFC-124), and 1-chloro-1,1-difluoroethane (HCFC-142b), and other 10 halogenated hydrocarbons by gas chromatography-mass spectrometry. This standard applies to the determination of the volume fractions of HFC-23, HFC-32, HFC-125, HFC-143a, CFC-12, HCFC-22, HFC-134a, HFC-152a, HCFC-124 and HCFC-142b in gaseous refrigerants, and does not apply to the determination of the purity of the above compounds. The method detection limit for the 10 halogenated hydrocarbons is 0.08% to 0.09% when the sample volume is 20.0 μl; the lower limit of determination is 0.32% to 0.36%.
