Standard Applicability:This standard specifies the method of liquid chromatography-triple quadrupole mass spectrometry for the determination of six phthalate esters in water. This standard applies to the determination of dimethyl phthalate (DMP), diethyl phthalate (DEP), butyl benzyl phthalate (BBP), dibutyl phthalate (DBP), di(2-ethylhexyl) phthalate (DEHP), di-n-octyl phthalate (DNOP) and six phthalate ester compounds in surface water, groundwater, domestic sewage, industrial wastewater and seawater. Determination of 6 phthalic acid esters. Acetonitrile extraction: When the sampling volume is 10.0 ml, the volume of extraction solution is 5.0 ml, and the injection volume is 5 μl, the detection limits of the six target compounds are from 0.8 μg/L to 9 μg/L, and the lower limits of the determination are from 3.2 μg/L to 36 μg/L, please refer to Appendix A for details. Hexane extraction: The method is only applicable to the determination of DBP and DEHP in surface water and groundwater. When the sampling volume is 100 ml, the volume of extraction solution is 2.0 ml and the injection volume is 10 μl, the detection limits of DBP and DEHP are 0.4 μg/L and 0.3 μg/L respectively, and the lower limits of determination are 1.6 μg/L and 1.2 μg/L respectively, please refer to Appendix A for details.
