Standard Applicability:This standard specifies a gas chromatography-triple quadrupole mass spectrometry method for the determination of toxaphene in soil and sediment. This standard applies to the determination of three indicator toxaphene analogs P26, P50 and P62 in soil and sediment (see Appendix A). When the sample volume is 10.0 g and the volume is 20 μl, the detection limit of the three indicator toxaphene methods is 0.003 μg/kg, and the lower limit of determination is 0.012 μg/kg.
