Standard Applicability:This standard applies to the extraction of organophosphorus pesticides, organochlorine pesticides, chlorinated herbicides, polycyclic aromatic hydrocarbons (PAHs), phthalates, polychlorinated biphenyls (PCBs), and other semivolatile and nonvolatile organic compounds in solid wastes, as described in Appendix A. This standard can also be applied to the extraction of other organics in solid wastes, if verified.
