Standard Applicability:This standard details the special safety requirements for electrically powered commercial refrigeration appliances with self-contained compressors or with two units assembled into a single appliance (split system) in accordance with the manufacturer’s instructions. As far as practicable, this standard deals with the common hazards arising from these commercial refrigeration appliances. The standard does not address the structural characteristics and operating characteristics of those refrigeration appliances regulated by ISO standards.
